Who We Are
We’re an eccentric team of artists brought together by the desire to bring our art to life in very personal spaces. Weddings, birthdays, engagements: these are some of life’s most important and intimate milestones and we’re there for them all. Our goal is to provide you not only with unparalleled service and innovative designs, but to deeply understand our clients and their wishes; to tell their story through flowers and drapery and candlelight.
Are you looking for a wedding that feels like the best, most elevated version of Kermit the Frog’s swamp? We can do that. Are you looking to create a shimmering, celestial cactus garden? We’ve done that. Maybe “Mermaid Liberace” is more your style: we’ve done that, too. Your designer should appreciate exactly who you are and what you want your event to feel like; we’re not here to put anyone in boxes. We want to collaborate with you to make your event the best, most elevated, YOU event we can create.
We believe love is love, and will never discriminate based on race, gender, or orientation.

Founder & Designer
Robin Smith
A fifth generation Atlantan, Robin is a graduate of Antioch University and American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She’s a lifelong chorister, amateur costumer, and lover of all plants and animals: the weirder the plant, or needier the animal, the better. She’s a staunch supporter of equal rights, lover of all colors (but especially pink and purple), a Star Wars and Lord of the Rings fan, and a lover of romance in all forms. She’s been in the floral and event design world since 1999, when she threw her own high-school graduation party with tips taken from many, many Martha Stewart magazines. She’s produced events professionally in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Napa, The Hamptons, NYC, The Berkshires, Connecticut, Charleston, Savannah and, of course, her beloved hometown of Atlanta.

Studio Manager
Shannon Donahue
Shannon is an accomplished illustrator and designer with more than 20 years of experience. She produces all of our in-house renderings and drawings (when Robin can’t get an idea out of her head and onto paper) and usually serves as the studio DJ. When she’s not doing flowers, she can be found creating art in other mediums, reading romance novels, and spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Inventory Manager
Katie Dangler
Nebraska born and bred, Katie began her events journey after she moved to Atlanta in 2019. She and Shannon struck up a fast friendship during the pandemic, and she was convinced to come work with Rhapsody in Blooms sometime in 2022. She keeps the studio running by managing the large amounts of inventory (candles, vessels, votives, hanging installations, etc) we require and being a whiz on a ladder or with a drill. When not keeping the studio organized, she can be found with her two daughters, reading a romance, sewing, or snuggling with a cat or two.
