Who We Are
Crafting extraordinary events for extraordinary people
Rhapsody in Blooms was born out of a deep desire to create magic. Robin (owner/founder) had been working in luxury wedding planning in the Napa and Los Angeles area, but longed for two things: home and flowers in her hands again. Home was Atlanta and flowers were a longtime love: she and her mother and her best friend all took the same “basics of floral design” class way back in 2001 and, as they were all artists in various other mediums, caught the flower bug. Beth, our matriarch, has phased out of events for the most part, but she can still be found on-site every so often. Robin and Shannon (lead designer/best friend/sister in law) can be found slinging flowers and chatting Romance novels just about every week.

What We Do
We create extraordinary spaces for people that are looking for something colorful, different, or a little out of the ordinary and we specialize in bringing unusual concepts to life: you want a space cactus wedding? Got it. You want mermaid Liberace or hot-alien-space-sexy: we’re right on top of that, Rose. Because our design work is so in depth, we provide both full service floral design and event design for weddings, corporate, and social events. If you opt for floral design, that means we’ll bring in not only flowers, but everything we need to make your vision come to life: votives, candles, ceremony structures, etc. Event design means that we’ll help you design your event from top to bottom: florals of course, but also assist with choosing other tabletop items, linens, drapery, etc.

Our Process
Our process may be a little different than others, but it works for us and allows us to create incredible events. Since we do believe in family, and living wages, our response times may be longer: we want to make sure that not only is each client tended to, but that our families, our bodies, and our minds are tended as well. In our busy seasons, non-urgent emails may take up to a week to respond to. It doesn’t mean you’re being ignored, it means that you’ll have that same laser focus when your date is close!
Our proposal process is also a little out of the box, just like the rest of what we do! Once you’ve schedule a call with us, we’ll have a long chat about what you’re looking for, what your goals for guest experience look like, and brainstorm some ideas and we’ll chat budget expectations. Once that conversation is finished, you’ll be receive a one-page initial concept design board, as well as a contract to review. When you decide to move forward with a retainer, we’ll move forward with a full design board and proposal, which we can edit until it’s perfected.
After that, we’ll do several other design calls and meetings in the lead up up to the event and liaise with your planner to make sure everything flows smoothly. Then on the day, we arrive to the event, set everything up like little fairies, and then come back to break down when the event is over.
